Removing Smart Tags

Smart tags are basically words on your pages being automatically linked to 'related' content on Microsofts web site or a web site paying Microsoft for the privilege of having that link to them.

They will, apparently, have a little purple squiggle underneath them to mark them out as a smart tag link on your page - oops, there goes your design then!

So, how do you stop smart tags wrecking your pages...

You need to add a Meta tag to the head of your documents like this:

That done, your pages should not be parsed for adding smart tags.
